Glacier Satellite Limited (GULATO) is guided by integrity in all relationships between colleagues, customers, and suppliers, strictly complying with all laws and regulations applicable to the food sector, data protection, and labour rights.
- Safety, Health, Well-being and Fair Remuneration
The company ensures the safety, health and well-being of its employees and customers, requiring clean, hygienic and safe environments, in accordance with its internal plan, HACCP and legal requirements. The company is proud to pay its employees a decent wage that is above the national average.
- Respect, Inclusion, and an Ethical Work Environment
Any discrimination, harassment or abusive behaviour in the workplace is repudiated. All people are treated with respect, regardless of gender, ethnicity, religion, age, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or economic status. Harassment will be rigorously investigated and punished.
- Environmental Commitment and ISO 14001:2015 Certification
Gulato is certified by ISO 14001:2015, demonstrating its ongoing commitment to responsible and sustainable environmental practices, promoting waste reduction, recycling and resource optimisation in all areas of the company. All employees must ensure compliance with these standards.
- Presentation, Punctuality, and Communication
Professionalism, punctuality, appropriate appearance (including wearing a uniform and PPE when applicable) and clear and courteous communication are required, reinforcing the welcoming and collaborative environment we value.
- Implementation, Review, and Compliance with Internal Procedures
It is everyone’s responsibility to follow and keep up to date with defined internal processes to ensure efficiency and safety. Negligence may result in costs or disciplinary proceedings. The Code and procedures are reviewed periodically, adapting to current legislation and best practices.
- Fair Competition, Conflicts of Interest, and Employment Exclusivity
Employees must act loyally towards Gulato and the market, communicating any potential conflicts of interest to management. Parallel activities require formal prior authorisation to avoid damage to the firm.
- Modern Anti-Slavery Policy
Gulato maintains zero tolerance for modern slavery, forced labour, human trafficking and child labour, in accordance with its Anti-Slavery Policy (https://gulato.pt/politica-de-escravatura-moderna/). All employees and suppliers are required to act responsibly, promoting an environment free from any such practices and respecting human rights at all levels. This policy is part of employment contracts and agreements with suppliers, in accordance with international and national regulations.
- Prohibition of Corruption, Bribery and Cartels
No form of corruption, bribery, fraud or cartel formation is tolerated. All partners, suppliers and employees must ensure ethical and transparent business relationships.
- Responsible Use of Position and Property
Access to Gulato’s position, assets, facilities, and information may never be used for personal gain or for the benefit of unauthorised third parties.
- Protection and Confidentiality of Personal Data
It is mandatory to protect and respect the confidentiality and security of employees’ and customers’ personal and commercial data, in line with current data protection legislation.
- Reporting Channels and Non-Retaliation

- Leadership and Responsibility
Managers and senior employees must lead by example and encourage everyone to familiarise themselves with and apply this Code on a daily basis.
- Continuous Updating and Review
The Code of Conduct is reviewed periodically to incorporate legal changes, best practices and internal policies, ensuring ongoing commitment to ethics, safety, fairness, social and environmental responsibility.
